Transizioni is a research project focused on photography and territory; its main purpose is to promote fine art photography and to develop a visual identity through the production, restoration and dissemination of the Apulian visual heritage.
The project originates from a collaborative partnership between three established local art associations — ArgentoVivo, FAC, LAB – Laboratorio di Fotografia di Architettura e Paesaggio — supported by Polo Biblio-Museale di Lecce, the City of Lecce and the Department of History, Society and Humanities from the University of Salento.
With the support of the aforementioned partners, Transizioni will contribute to the dissemination of the visual and photographic heritage already produced in the region, and will produce new material via artist residencies, workshops and open calls.
Its purpose is to promote, both in local museums and in a regional digital library, the rich body of works and visual contents documenting the transformations of the Apulian territory.
The activities will be defined and coordinated by a multidisciplinary Scientific Committee, composed by representatives from the three associations — Alice Caracciolo, Francesco Colella, Giancarlo Greco, Samuele Vincenti — and from the institutions involved — Rita Miglietta, Angelo Salento, Michele Cera.
